Feedback is rarely difficult because of the words alone. It becomes difficult because of what those words seem to say about who you are. The work is not learning to feel nothing. It is learning to hear reflection without turning it into identity.

There is a difference between adapting to a room and disappearing inside it. One is emotional intelligence. The other is self-abandonment. If certain people or environments leave you exhausted, the problem may not be the interaction alone. It may be how much of yourself you edited to survive it.
