Professional Credentials that Elevate How You Serve
Becoming an effective coach or recovery professional takes more than heart — it takes skill, structure, and emotional readiness to meet people where they are and lead them forward.
As a lead instructor with The Addictions Academy, I teach internationally accredited certifications that equip you to coach, support, and lead with confidence. Each course blends evidence-based tools, ethical standards, and applied practice so you can step into the field with clarity, integrity, and the ability to make a real impact.
When you train with me, you’ll experience education that’s grounded, practical, and human. My teaching style connects the professional “what to do” with the personal “how to be” — helping you integrate competence, compassion, and composure in every interaction.
These trainings don’t just prepare you to earn credentials; they prepare you to serve well — to protect your energy, maintain clear boundaries, and embody professionalism that empowers the people you help.
What You’ll Learn
Each certification I teach through The Addictions Academy blends evidence-based education, applied coaching skills, and emotional intelligence — the triad every effective helping professional needs to support others sustainably.
You’ll learn how to translate theory into confident practice, build ethical structure around your sessions, and maintain your own emotional stability while guiding clients through theirs.
When you train with me, we don’t just talk about techniques — we practice them. You’ll develop a strong sense of professional self-awareness: how to stay grounded under pressure, protect your energy, and communicate with both empathy and precision.
Because when you’re steady, your clients feel safe. And when they feel safe, change becomes possible.

Nationally Certified Family Recovery Coach (NCFRC)
Upcoming dates:
January 22nd & 23rd
September 17th & 18th
Families often suffer just as much - and sometimes even more - than the individual struggling with addiction. Yet most treatment programs only graze the surface of family education, leaving loved ones overwhelmed, confused, and unsupported.
That’s where this certification changes everything.
The Family Recovery Coach Training is a comprehensive, action-based program that teaches you how to support families and loved ones affected by addiction, helping them rebuild connection, stability, and trust while reclaiming their own well-being.
Through mentorship and live instruction with Tricia Parido, you’ll learn how to:
-
Identify and interrupt codependency and enabling patterns
-
Facilitate communication that heals blame, guilt, and resentment
-
Implement healthy family structure and accountability systems
-
Understand family roles, defense mechanisms, and boundary dynamics
-
Integrate Claudia Black’s family systems framework and foundational pharmacology awareness
This program doesn’t just hand you theory - it gives you real-world tools to restore balance and hope in the family system.
You’ll walk away prepared to qualify the family as a coaching client, guide them through treatment transitions, and empower them to support recovery without losing themselves in the process.
Families are the missing piece of the recovery puzzle.
This certification equips you to be the professional who helps them finally heal — with clarity, confidence, and compassion.

Internationally Certified Adolescent Addiction & Motivation Coach (ICAAMC)
Upcoming dates:
January 15th & 16th
September 10th & 11th
This professional certification program is designed for coaches who want to work with teens and young adults struggling to find their way — whether the challenge is academics, athletics, addiction, body image, anxiety, stress, or a loss of motivation.
Through this training, you’ll gain the tools and insight to help young people get unstuck and move forward with clarity, purpose, and confidence.
One of the growing challenges this course addresses is Failure to Launch Syndrome — a pattern where young adults remain dependent at home, lack direction, and often cope through avoidance, gaming, substance use, or withdrawal.
As one of the only certification programs in the world specifically designed for this population, this training fills a critical gap between therapy and coaching, equipping professionals to meet adolescents at the intersection of mental health and behavior.
Under the guidance of Tricia Parido, you’ll learn how to:
-
Recognize and address common adolescent coping patterns
-
Support self-efficacy and goal setting without shame or pressure
-
Coach through social, emotional, and identity challenges
-
Manage issues related to social media comparison, perfectionism, and anxiety
-
Integrate addiction-awareness and prevention tools for early intervention
In today’s culture, teens and young adults are facing record levels of stress, isolation, and performance anxiety — much of it driven by social media and societal expectations.
This certification empowers you to guide them toward balance, connection, and self-leadership through practical strategies and emotionally intelligent coaching.

WHY THESE CREDENTIALS
Every certification I teach through The Addictions Academy is nationally or internationally accredited, ethically grounded, and designed to prepare you for professional-level work in recovery, mental health, and human services.
These credentials matter because they don’t just look good on paper — they hold you accountable to a higher standard of service. They represent the ability to guide people through some of life’s hardest transitions with professionalism, structure, and compassion.
I’ve chosen to teach these programs because they combine credibility with practical application. You won’t just learn what to say — you’ll learn how to listen, how to recognize what’s really being communicated, and how to hold space that invites real growth.
That’s what makes these certifications powerful: they create confident, competent professionals who can both educate and empower the people they serve.

BS Psych, IMAC, NCPLC, CATCIII, NCIP, NCPCM, Elite Instructor at TAA
I’ve been in the business of helping people rebuild their lives for decades — and what I’ve learned along the way is that education is one of the most powerful recovery tools we have.
As an Elite Instructor with The Addictions Academy, I don’t just teach from a manual — I teach from experience. Every certification I lead is grounded in professional ethics, evidence-based practice, and the real-world challenges that clients and families face every day.
My teaching style is structured yet personal. I believe students learn best when the classroom feels safe, collaborative, and practical. I bring the same compassion, clarity, and accountability to my students that I ask them to bring to their clients.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of training professionals across the globe — coaches, clinicians, peer mentors, and advocates who are changing lives in communities everywhere.
Watching students grow into confident practitioners who serve with integrity and emotional awareness is the greatest reward of this work.
If you’re ready to elevate your professional skillset and learn how to serve from a place of both competence and care, I’d be honored to have you in class.
