VALUES STATEMENTS

1. I Value Emotional Agility Over Emotional Reactivity

I believe in the power of emotional agility — the ability to respond instead of react.
I teach individuals to navigate their internal world with clarity, grounded presence, and self-leadership, even when life feels overwhelming.

3. I Believe in Growth Without Punishment

I don’t believe in shame-based change.
I believe in honest conversations, compassionate challenge, and the kind of growth that elevates rather than diminishes you.
Hard work doesn’t have to hurt to be effective.

5. I See Recovery as a Lifestyle, Not a Label

I work with people in recovery — individuals who have completed detox and stabilization and are ready to build the emotional, behavioral, and life skills necessary for long-term freedom.

I view recovery as:

  • identity rebuilding

  • emotional development

  • behavioral refinement

  • relationship growth

  • and intentional personal evolution

not as a clinical condition or a box you have to live in.

2. I Honor Lived Experience

Your story matters.
What you’ve lived through informs how you think, feel, and operate — and I respect that deeply.
I don’t reduce people to labels, symptoms, or diagnoses.
I honor lived experience as a foundation for real, lasting transformation.

4. I Believe Self-Leadership Is Essential

The most powerful transformation happens when you learn to lead yourself.
I value helping you build your inner authority — the confidence and clarity to choose, speak, and act from integrity rather than old patterns or emotional survival.

6. I Value Advanced Emotional Intelligence in Action

I believe EQ should work outside of a textbook.
I value practical emotional intelligence — the kind you can apply in conversations, decisions, boundaries, conflicts, routines, and real life.

If it doesn’t translate into everyday living, I don’t teach it.

Beck Brody

The work that Tricia does at Turning Leaves Recovery is life-changing. She has a refreshing approach based on radical honesty and taking a deep and genuine look at the habits we have built without judgment, but with plenty of room for solutions. I have lost count of the personal blocks in my life that Tricia has helped me dismantle, brick by brick....

7. I Value Authenticity Over Performance

I want the real you — not the polished you.
I believe in truth over image, depth over pleasantries, and inner honesty over outer perfection.
You don’t have to perform here.
You just have to be human.

9. I Believe in Accountability With Compassion

I hold space and I hold standards.
I believe in accountability that supports growth — not guilt.
I value your willingness to own your choices, patterns, and progress with kindness toward yourself.

11. I Operate With Integrity — In My Role, My Methods, and My Representation

I am an Emotional Performance Strategist, not a therapist or clinician.
I provide coaching, education, and emotional performance development — not treatment, counseling, or crisis care.

I am transparent about my scope, my boundaries, and the nature of my work.

Others who are trained or contracted to use my system operate independently within those defined parameters — but I am the one responsible for the integrity of the methodology.

8. I Uphold Dignity and Respect for Every Person

I see every person as whole, worthy, and capable.
I do not treat people as projects to fix or problems to manage.
I respect your story, your experiences, your identity, and your autonomy — always.

10. I Believe Freedom Comes From Skill, Not Hope

Hope matters, but it’s not enough.
I believe emotional freedom is earned through skills, tools, awareness, consistency, and courage.
I value teaching the practices that make emotional freedom real and sustainable.

12. I Value Connection That Elevates, Not Entangles

I believe in healthy, grounded, non-codependent support.
I value relationships that empower you to rise, not relationships that require you to shrink, rescue, or self-abandon.

Connection should strengthen you, not drain you.
